We have spoken with Tom’s family and they would like for everyone to join them in the Celebration of Tom’s life. They ask for our continued prayers during this difficult time. Tom’s mother, Charlene, expressed how much he loved working at TCi and how he considered this his “other family.” Any flowers or donations, in Tom’s memory, should be sent to Mt. Zion Christian Fellowship. Donations will be used to purchase a new speaker system. Sunday, February 11th at 4:00 PM, with a meal to follow Mt.   TCI Family, It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Kelley at 2 a.m. this morning. As many of you know, Tom had been battling cancer and was overjoyed at the support he received from his TCI family both in person as well as through his blog on the intranet. We do not have any information about the services at this time, but as soon as we get it, we will post the details on the intranet on Tom Kelley’s blog. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tom’s family and we hope you will join us in celebrating the joy he brought to everyone he touched.

Yesterday I had a Power Port placed in my chest this is so that the doctors won't have to keep sticking me all over the place when chemo starts this next week. Today I got and get a P.E.T. scan so that they can see before and after pictures to make sure we are getting all of this stuff out of my body. Other than that I am told to get some rest before Monday because it will be a big day. I would much rather be a work than go throught this. I have no words for how much all of your support means to me you are all such a wonderful family to me. Tom

About three to four weeks ago I started having problems eating and it seemed to be Acid Reflux so no problem. I went to the Dr. and he gave me Previcid to take. After several days of taking this I started to have chest pains so back to the Dr. I go. I had an EKG and some blood drawn and the EKG was fine but they found something wrong with the blood test. So I went and had an ultra-sound of my gallbladder were they found some lesions in my liver, you can imagine my surprise. They scheduled me for a CAT scan the very next day to see where this was coming from. The doctor's said it looks like it is coming from my esophagus and where the stomach attaches. So it is coming from two locations. There is a very long name for this and they said that it is inoperable. So I am starting Chemo treatments on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We are going to attack this very aggressively so that I can get back to the good life. I am in Stage four which is never a good place to be in, but my spirits are high and we will beat this thing and turn it around for good.
